- I have a Class C address divided into two segments (.64 and .128). I have
- two LAN cards in my server each one belonging to one of the networks. I have
- a Linux server with 24 hr SLIP on net .128. When I load ODIPKT and WINPKT
- then TCPMAN everything seems OK, but when I try to PING the server or Linux
- machine I get ICMP transmit errors. Anybody know what I am doing wrong? I
- also can't run FTP either. HELP!

- Hi,
-
- If you are using FTP Inc's PCTCP you can also get this message. If you are
- using PCTCP and are trying to run the Trumpet Winsock you will need to disable
- the PCTCP virtual device driver in system.ini ( its vpctcp.386 ) and
- make sure you are not running ethdrv anymore. You will also need to load
- winpkt.com that comes with the Trumpet Winsock and set it to the same
- interrupt vector as your packet driver.
-
- If your goal is run winsock apps in combination with PCTCP make sure you have
- the latest version of the winsock.dll which is avaiable anonymously from
- vax.ftp.com and you won't need to run the Tattam Winsock.
-
- We run both products in different parts of our operation and it can be a bear
- to get it figured out when a user has part of the PCTCP software running and
- then trys to run the Tattam Winsock software as well.
-
- Good luck,

- Subject: Mosaic 2.0a3/a4 and ressources in WFW 3.11
-
- When I load Mosaic 2.0 Alpha 4 , it never return all the
- ressource memory it uses. Dashboard shows 3% being
- "eaten"away at each load-unload. Has anyone else
- observed this behavior?
- The catch is that it needs 3 MB to load so it is better to
- be unloaded when not in use but then ressourse memory
- vanish every time it is used. Any solution?
